  I have stayed in worse hotels than this one WHILE IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! The first room I was given was dirty and had a broken air conditioner. There is no maintenance help on the weekend and I checked in on Sunday. The second room would not open to the door key. The phone didn't work in the third room, but I had paid through Travel Website and couldn't get a refund. My room had ants... fortunately, I wasn't charged extra for them. I did pay extra for internet access. I have never used a slower service - except in the early days of dial up access. DO NOT WALK BAREFOOT ON THE CARPET!! Talking with management did little more than provide EXCUSES. The area manager basically called me a liar and wouldn't give me the name of his supervisor. He did give me a 1-800 customer relations number to call. He told me that he'd been in the business a long time (he sounded as if he were in his 20's) and assured me that whomever I spoke with would do no better for me than he had offered - a coupon for one free night in another one of their poorly maintained rooms.
