I vacationed here 3/27 thru 3/30, really enjoyed the stay. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. This property is located within walking distance of shops and resturants. The hotel and surrounding area is well kept with walking paths and view of the harbor. The staff is friendly and helpful with info for local attractions. They gave me an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite which was helpful with the kids having their own room. Daily hot breakfast included and light evening meal Mon-Thur. Worth the price. Will definetly stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for six out of the past ten weeks while I was on business travel in San Diego. I chose it because it is very convenient to my customer site, and doesn't charge for parking. The hotel is on the site that used to be the Naval Training Center (NTC San Diego) and shares its parking lot with USS Neversail (the former USS Recruit - an important bit of SD Navy history). Now the area is called Liberty Station and is a pleasant mix of mission-style homes and shops. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The sales manager is very professional: a pleasure to work with. Any time I needed a reservation changed for one of my colleagues, or a new reservation made, she took care of everything. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The beds are very comfortable. Each room has a kitchenette, and there are two gas grills fon the patio for cooking - and they work! Vons and Trader Joe's are a 2-minute drive away for those who want to stock their fridge. There is a good mix of business and vacation travelers, plus there are several good restaurants just across the parking lot: Sushi, Thai, American (Oggie's), Mexican, Greek, Starbuck's, and Subway. There are several more good restaurants within a 5-minute drive. The hotel also serves very good breakfast and dinner.

This hotel served us well, short drive to all kinds of attractions. It was kid-friendly with a breakfast that was passable - average scrambled eggs but good juices and the coffee was pretty good. The grounds were very nice and it was adjacent to a palm-lined walking path where we liked to end our evenings with a stroll. The one problem we had was that the security doors (all the buildings needed the room key 24/7) were noisy. One of these doors was just through the wall from the headboard of our bed. "Clang, clang, bang" was the refrain all night long. The hotel was full so they couldn't move us until the next day. Once we were moved to quieter room, all was fine. The initial room was the handi-cap access room. The beds were on the soft side.

The staff was very helpful & freindly and the service was excellant. The room was more than sufficient for 3 adults. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a variety of choices. It is within short walking distance to several restaurants. The sport court & pool are great and the outdoor courtyard with the fireplace is very relaxing. We were all very satisfied and would definitely reccommend this hotel.
