The homewood is a bargain for families and friends. Two double/queen beds, a sofa bed, and a kitchenette make the room a bargain for those travelling with kids or in a group. There is a laundry room and a room with computer for internet access. The beds are the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. They provide the option of not having linen washed daily to aid the planet. The swimming pool is kept warm and it has a large shallow area for kids. Weeknights there is a dinner provided buffet provided called the manager's special. It is nothing special, but it is nice to have a meal like from home. Breakfast is buffet style.

The hotel was very nice and we chose it specifically because of the full kitchen. When we arrived on the evening we were booked to check-in, the clerk told us there was no room and that we were being sent to a nearby hotel. There was a great deal of confusion and the clerk dealt with us badly. We had to ask about openings later in our stay and finally got into the hotel we had chosen on the 3rd day. Whenever we dealt with the desk we were kept waiting while they answered phone call after phone call. It took complaints to head office before we even got an apology. They did give one free night in a hotel in response to our complaints but doing something at the time would have been much more satisfying. I felt we were treated badly and will not be returning to this hotel.

There are not enough good things I can say about this hotel & it's friendly staff. First, I am a very picky germ-a-phobe who has been known to ask for different rooms as well as to leave & request refunds from unclean hotels.
Our family visited N.O. with a friends family & split the room. The suite was plenty large enough to accomodate 2 adults & 5 children ages 8-14. The rooms were very clean. Location was excellent, walking distance to the french quarter, riverwalk, childrens museum, & superdome/arena. Indoor pool & hot tub were a huge bonus with 5 kids in tow. The complimentary breakfast is huge & tasty. The staff was extremely plesant & helpful. We enjoyed the stay so much that we extended it by a day.
We are already planning a trip back with more friends. : ) -

Good location to get to know NO! Walking distance to the French Quarter (yes, people walk in this city), casino,NO Arena and Superdome. Close to Convention Center. Staff at desk helpful. Meals are a plus! Hot breakfast evedryday and light dinner during weekdays (including wine and beer!). Spacious suite and confortable beds. Need to be vacum thoroughly at least when guest leaves (in case you close the bedroom doors). Clean bathroom and linens. Parking lot behind hotel but asures you a parking space, specially during the day when it is really hard to find one. Reasonable fee. Will stay here again!
