  Hotel D'Aubusson is in a wonderful location -- near the Odeon metro and Pont Neuf and within walking distance of many Parisian sights and a trove of great bistros and cafes. What distinguishes the Hotel is the great staff. Vivi at the front desk recommended a number of restaurants that we found to be outstanding. Other staff were helpful with directions and transportation needs. The Hotel is very cozy. On one cool evening, they had a fire in the fireplace in the salon. The breakfast, which is included, is a delicious and ample buffet. The waitstaff there was very attentive. The bar had a jazz band one evening and it was very lively. D'Aubusson might not be for everyone -- it is in a very busy neighbor, somewhat youngish, with a lot going on. However, we found the activity energizing and the convenience of really delicious bistros hard to beat. We have stayed on previous trips at the Bristol and the Plaza Athene and we regard the D'Aubusson as a great place to stay. Happy trails!
