  The hotel clerk was surley and insisted on keeping our passports until ""later"". when i protested, she made an ugly face (as though she had encountered this resistance ...

  The hotel clerk was surley and insisted on keeping our passports until ""later"". When I protested, she made an ugly face (as though she had encountered this resistance before ) and pulled ours out of a big box full of passports and made a copy of it and handed the originals back to us. The place looked shabby and in need of paint and updating.

  this hotel is in a great location. walking distance from the train station and in the heart of the city. All of the major sites were in walking distance. the staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was good too. i would recommend this hotel.
