My husband and I decided to escape from the kids for a few days and decided to go to Paris. Since the dollar is so weak compared to the euro, we were looking for a clean and well-located hotel which wouldn't bankrupt us. Someone suggested this hotel and after doing some research, we chose Hotel Therese. We're so glad we did! It is centrally located for sightseeing as well as to the metro. There is a stop (Pyramids) which is only a block away. Since we were only looking for a clean place to sleep at night, we got therir basic room which had a double bed, shower, TV, desk, fridge. It was very nice, but small (not a surprise for Paris which are known for small rooms). If you want or need more room, you may want to upgrade to a larger one - though be willing to pay the money for such. I would suggest you do what the Parisians do and just deal with a smaller-then-what-your-used-to room and use the money you would have spent on an upgrade on a nice dinner. The two sitting areas downstairs were a nice place to relax. The staff was VERY helpful with recommending places to eat/see. etc. NOTE: The breakfast offered at the hotel is downright robbery (though all the hotels charge about the same). There is a bakery one block to your left out the front door. The employees at the bakery are friendly and do speak English. Also, coming from D'Guaille airport, we took the Rossy Bus to the Opera which is three blocks away. Highly recommend it! Easy to find at the airport and close to the hotel. Don't spend the high $ for a cab. Or... take the RER to Halls and then to Pyramids.
