Hotel was OK but nothing special. We had full days with tour guides so we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. Rooms were average, somewhat spartan in their decor. Lobby was nothing to write home about. Did call down to the front desk to see if they would change currency. We were told that they would, only to arrive at the desk to be told they didn't have any money available at the time. Breakfast is included but of the hotels we stayed in in Paris and Rome, this had the least to offer. If you are looking for something with a pleasant lobby that has an appealing atmosphere, this would not be the place. Compared to other hotels we stayed in Europe, I would have to say this is only average.

This American style hotel seems to cater to mostly groups and business travelers. It has most of the creature comforts and comfortable beds. It is located in a less touristy, fairly quiet area of Rome.
We arrived at the hotel around 10am exhausted and hoping to check in early. Our bags were promptly removed from the taxi and brought into the hotel by the porter before I even had a chance to pay the taxi driver. The hotel was very accommodating and had a room ready for us. We gratefully checked in and were able to take a nap after the long flight before exploring the city.
We had difficulty trying to figure out how to turn on the lights in the room and embarrassingly had to ask the front desk. They informed us that there was a card slot near the light switch that would turn the lights on. Finally, I realized that if I kept the card in the slot, the lights would remain on.
The only international phone calls you can make from the hotel need to be charged to a calling card, credit card, or collect through an international operator. The hotel wasn?t able to tell us where there was an Internet caf?, but instead have a PC available for guests to use with a pre-paid Internet card, which they sell. We bought one for 5 euros for 30 minutes.
A continental buffet breakfast is included in the price of the room. The breakfast is served in a dining room in the basement from 6:30am to 11am. The food is basic, but satisfactory.
If you are not looking for a European-style hotel and don?t need to be in the center of the tourist attractions, this hotel is a reasonably pleasing choice.
