This hotel (if you can call it that) is on the 4th floor of a hospital that is in the ghetto. The surrounding area is ripped up by construction and it appears to be a haven for graffiti artists and bums. It's not close to anything and there are no places to eat other than in the hospital cafeteria and a few fast food places on the school grounds. When you need a cab ride back to this place, they don't know where it is. You have to tell them to take you to the hospital and then tell them where to go once you get to the grounds. It's not easy to find. There are no signs that say which building the hotel is in or where you can park. The parking they advertise is 6 spaces that are single file, on a slope, near the back gate. There is rarely an empty space. It's depressing to stay here. You will see patients on gurneys wheel by as they go in for surgery and you will see relatives of these patients at the front desk of the hotel crying. This is not a place for vacationers. Do not stay here!

This place is HORRIBLE! Do NOT stay here. I only wish that I had been warned by other travelers. This hotel is not meant to cater to tourists. Most of the guests staying here are family members of those in the hospital. First of all, just finding it was one of the most frustrating experiences I ever had. It's not a single building labeled "HOWARD JOHNSON CENTRO MEDICO" with a huge sign like the picture would have you believe. It's one of a dozen unlabeled buildings on a college-like campus. No one even seems to know it exists. The guy at the rental place AND a security guard on campus both told me there is no Howard Johnson in this part of San Juan when I was looking for it. I eventually found a woman on campus who speaks English and pointed me to an elevator. They have 6 parking spaces in a back lot by an emergency exit gate. You had better be good at parallel parking as the spaces are in single file. If they're full, you must park in the visitor's pay garage. I took a few taxis and they had no idea where this place is. I had to give them directions. Sometimes in the elevator ride to the 4th floor, it stops on one of the lower floors of the hospital and you get to ride with a patient on a gurney. The rooms weren't very clean either. It's also in a very bad ghetto with construction, graffiti, trash, bums, etc. This place really needs to get out of the tourist market! STAY AWAY! You do not want to come back to this place after a nice day out. It's depressing.

We weren't expecting much, but got even less. It was difficult to find a taxi driver who knew where it was: one dispatcher with whom I spoke denied it even existed until I read her the address I printed from travel online. There is no exterior sign of the existence of a hotel on the hospital campus. The neighborhood is industrial and not easily accessible on foot. The closest thing to food service was the hospital cafeteria, which closes at 7pm, or you could call pizza delivery a block away (they didn't know how to get there either). The desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the room had neither hot water nor sheets on the bed, and the TV didn't work. The only way I would recommend this hotel would be to someone who has a family member admitted to the hospital for health care. This place is not for tourists or pleasre travelers, and is not convenient to the airports. Spend a few more bucks and stay in a real hotel or guest house.

Worst hotel ever!! My girfriends & I booked 5 nights w/this hotel thinking that we got a "nice looking" room at a good price; boy were we wrong! This "hotel" is really not a hotel! It's just a bunch of rooms on top of a Hospital! The hotel is in a business/industrial part of town; looks kinda scary in & outside. The King Bed room that we booked was not available so they moved us to an alternate room with 2 Queen Beds which had dirty towels hanging all over the bathroom, then we got moved AGAIN & into 2 separate rooms (there's 3 of us girls); the first room one of the girls got put into had no light bulb in one of the lamps & front desk doesn't bother to offer to put in one, they moved her to another room that didn't have a TV. The wall mountings were still on the wall but the tv was missing! ***We never stayed long enough to find out about the parking situation. The bathroom looked kinda creepy & don't even get me started on the SMELL; "hotel" on top of a hospital = need I say more?! There is one good thing & that is the front desk clerk DID try to do her best to help us; management however was not! I'm going to stop here because writing this brings back bad memories.

This has to be the worst hotel ever to be in business. Where do I begin...first of all, the hotel states limited parking but does not state that for 32 rooms, there is only 6 SPACES!!!. That is very inconvenient when you can't even park your car outside on the curb since its prohibited after coming from a wonderful evening. Yes, prohibited and if you plan on parking your car outside be sure to wake up at 5:45am and move your car to the parking garage thats near there or you will get a ticket anytime from 6am to 12pm; thats when the police will do his/her patrol. And yes, I got a ticket for * dollars!!!! And the parking garage is not cheap. It was * dollars for 2-3 hours. And from the two weeks I was there, I found parking in the hotel about 6-8 times. Second, the room service is horrible. I had trash in the room that was not removed for 4 days. Towels that are left on the floor to be replaced are not performed towel to towel. You might get bath towels mixed with floor towels or hand towels mixed with face towels. The experience was unbearable!!! And the hotel is on top of a hospital not near a hospital, but directly in the hospital...lets say its in the 4th floor of the hospital....not very appealing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Spend the ten dollars more a day that you would want to save and go to a real hotel. I'm telling you the customer the honest truth. Please do not book this hotel. You have been warned!!!
