I stayed here during my visit to Austin to attend the SXSW Interactive conference. It was positioned in the perfect location for me to get in and out of downtown Austin quite easily. The hotel is positioned very close to numerous mid-to-nice eateries. It was incredibly easy to find and when I was done I just hoped back onto I-35 and drove back to Dallas. It's proximity to two freeways did not translate into noisy room. Quite the reverse, in fact. The accommodations were very nice. The room was comfortable, clean and laid out in a very intuitive manner. I have absolutely no complaints. The staff were very nice and when I made a complaint about some noisy teenagers they quickly sent security to quell the disturbance and there was no resurgence of the problem.

My husband and I came to Austin to visit his family. I've stayed at other Hyatt Places and have always been very satisfied. Driving up to the hotel, felt like it was on a dead end road, so we were a little skeptical. It looked like some businesses had closed down and so we weren't sure about security in that area, but we had no issues. The check-in went smooth, we were greeted by the staff. When we booked online the only availability was an accessible room. I wasn't very happy with that and would have rather left that room for someone who needed it. But again, everything came out okay. The lobby was spotless, the floors shined, all the light fixtures were working. The room was very ample and well positioned and most importantly....it was clean and felt homey. We have another trip planned and will definitely stay here again. It was easily accessible from the highway and we were able to get to attractions, restaurants, etc in good time.

The hotel was in a semi-questionable location regarding safety. Walking into the lobby, the place was very clean and artsy. The staff member who helped me was very nice and socialable, she allowed us to check in 2 hours early because my son was asleep in the car and I really wanted him to lay down for his nap. We were able to park right by the elevator and unload convienently. The room was split between living area and sleeping area by a small partial wall, which was better than nothing, but still allowed noise to travel between the two areas. The room included a very nice, large television but the broadcast quality was less than perfect. The bathroom had very tight quarters and I found multiple hairs around the tub walls which was kind of gross. The blackout curtains were very helpful in keeping the sun out for an afternoon nap. There was a nice little kitchenette area, but our fridge never got cold so I had to throw away a lot of stuff I had sitting in there overnight. Breakfast had potential...the person in charge of setting it up must have been new. He put out only the fruit, bread, beverages, and cereal, but no condiments, i.e. cream cheese, jelly, syrup, etc. It was brought to his attention and was fixed. There were no meat options which was fine with me, but I thought others may have wanted some. They allowed you to purchase other items in the little cafe section they had behind the counter. Not sure I'd pay the same amount for the place again, but it was OK.
