We just got back from our six flags vacation and the hotel is very close to the park, not walking distance but you do not have to get on the highway. My big gripe is the fact that the hotel calls itself "non-smoking" which was the biggest selling point for me ( I have two kids with asthma). Upon driving up to the hotel I had to get passed another guest who was smoking as he unloaded his car in front of the main door. We went up to our room and as soon as the elevator opened it reaked ilke smoke. Our room smelt fine and was very nice, we slept well and the staff was VERY courteous. The morning we checked out we had to walk by 3 guests smoking right outside the main door. We had no other way to go so I had to tell the kids to hold their nose. We had to wait for some cars to move so were stuck in the fumes holding our breathe. I have not inhaled that much second hand smoke in a while. If you call yourself a "non-smoking" hotel then follow-though and make designated smoking areas in the back or side entrances. Sorry but as nice as the room and staff were the smoking issue left a bad impression.

Room was wonderful just like in the pictures, clean and just like in the pictures! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in the center of everything and was not far any event that you wanted to take part in! I would stay there again and again!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our grandkids pounced on the complimentary fruit when they arrived from their flight tired and hungry. The cafe' delivered a meal after hours, and the manager sent up fresh baked cookies the next day (for the kids). The rooms (we had adjoining) were comfy and spacious. We loved the huge shower and the flat screen t.v. The next day we were allowed to check out a bit later than noon because we didn't have to check in at the airport until 1 p.m. Now this is what makes a memorable stay. Thank you to all the staff at Hyatt Place Grand Prairie!

Great loctation to all area attractions, Hotel staff was curtious, and did the best to their ability, although if you have two rooms, be prepared for some confusion our rooms were suppose to be joining during shift change the other room was given away because my other adult that the name was under was a late arrival. We made it work though...Breakfast is a joke it is not breakfast its more like a snack time...The hotel and rooms were clean and love the contempary decor..I would stay again under strict request though....Over all was good stay...A hot tub would be great in the pool area....
