Our family LOVED this resort. We were traveling with my 3 1/2 year old daughter and we couldn't have had a better experience. There are so many things to do at the hotel, we could have never left the property! I had a hot stone massage at the spa, fantastic. The customer service was absolutely perfect. Our daughter fell and scraped her elbow the first day we were there and the front desk staff was great....helped me to clean up her wound, and did it with great care and affection. They then sent our little one to the ice cream cart for a big scoop of chocolate ice cream with sprinkles on the house. We were there during spring break, so there were extra activities for the kids. We had fun watching a movie outside on the lawn, with popcorn! Face painting, poolside fun, marshmallow roasting, lazy river, trails, activities never ended. Wonderful wonderful wonderful. We will be back. Great family resort.

My family has now stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort 3x, and this was the least pleasant experience we have had. Sadly, the resort was not 100% at its best, but we would gladly return. This is a very pleasant family resort that we all enjoy. We simply had a couple of issues that I believe could be quickly remedied.

We stayed at the Hyatt HIll Country over the July 4th weekend, and it was awful. I even spoke to housekeeping directly to ensure that we'd have a crib. They assured me it was taken care of. Got there after all day at Sea World;with exhausted kids; - room was not ready- had to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes. Got to the room - no crib. Waited another 20 minutes for crib, they bring a playpen. The bellman was very nice and went and found a crib for me but that took another 30 minutes. The food at the restaurant was overpriced and disgusting. I ordered nachos, my husband ordered chicken cobb salad, kids ate the children's buffet b/c it was immed avail. Buffet was $13/kid and the hot dog buns were moldy. Nachos and salad took 45 min and nachos were a pile of chips with baseball park cheese poured on top and rubber chicken; ditto for the chicken in the salad. Tried to call valet for our car, but one of the {circa 1988} phones in room didn't work - for 3 hun a night, can they get a working phone? Spa erroneously charged $180 spa treatment. When I told them I never visited the spa. After much protest, they finally reversed the charge. Believe it or not, these are just the highlights - I understand that it was a busy time for them (hotel was sold out) but there is simply no excuse for bad food/cust svc when you're paying these prices!
