This was my first visit to New Orleans and I had an amazing time. The hotel location was very convenient. I found the concierge to be very friendly and knowlegable in helping me find some non-touristy things to enjoy as well as locating main attractions that would interest me. The staff was very friendly and professional. Their courtesy and pleasant demeanor really made me feel welcomed and added to the experience of the trip. Also I loved the fact that I could adjust my own tepmpurature in the room. Ive been in a few hotels that were very nice but it was freezing in the rooms. I am one of those people who are cold all the time and I was so happy to find that I could crank up the heat as much as I needed at night so I could sleep comforatably and make it cooler during the day after being out in the sun for a while. Thank you for a memorable experience. I was quite pleased!

The overall hotel experience was not as nice as other hotels I have stayed at for less money. The room and parking were overpriced compared to the 4 star hotel I stayed at the next night in New Orleans. Trash set on the table by the elevator for more than 24 hrs. I needed some help with a minor room problem and the staff acted like they could have cared less. Room was nice, Service could have been much better.

When checking in at 1pm, asked about upgrading to King bed (booked double because so last minute valentines present) and they ugraded us to King on Club Room floor for additional $* per night, which free breakfast and happy hour with snacks. Definitely worth the price and the room was available immediately. Also asked for late checkout and they accomodated up to 2pm. Only negative was leaving something behind in room and staff said wasn't there and when asked to investigate it miraculously appeared. But it was handled very professionally. I have stayed before years ago with a group of friends and had issues. They have definitely moved up to the A-game!

Pretty sure the mattress was older than the hotel itself. A featherbed on top was not going to help it. (I went through an entire bottle of Advil because of the backaches I got.) Loved the dried up puke stains on the bathroom walls. One day, housekeeping simply "forgot" to clean our room. When I spoke with the manager, I received an apology with a bottle of wine sent up to our room. With one glass. Mini bar was locked during our second day there for some unknown reason. They charge you for EVERYTHING. Food is expensive, internet service, every conceirge with his or her hand out. My husband tried to send me Valentine's Day flowers which were supposed to arrive early in the morning. When we returned to our room at 5:00 p.m. on Valentine's Day, they still had not arrived. The hotel was...simply...disgusting.

Stayed at this Intercontinental years ago and decided to stay again when the opportunity to travel to MSY came up. I love the location (just 2 blocks from the Quarter making it close to the action yet quiet). The room / bathroom were large enough for me and my husband so we weren't tripping over one another. Balcony was wonderful. Staff couldn't have been more friendly. They were setting up bleachers right outside the hotel for the upcoming Mardi Gras festivities and I would highly recommend buying tickets and taking advantage of the close proximity to watch the parades in comfort.
