  I have stayed here a few times, and the first floor is nice, but this last time I was on the second floor. It smelled like smoke, the beds were very hard, the wallpaper border was coming off and it looked like mildew underneath. It was bad. The carpet was horrible and if I wasn't stuck, I would have left. Before, I would stay on the first floor, by the office. those rooms are nice; really unexpected for the price. But, pay a few more dollars and go down the road, because not everyone can get 1st floor. Also, there is no elevator, so you will be climbing stairs, and good luck getting your key card to work. They had to re-do mine 5 times, before I could even get inside my room. I do not plan on going back.

• Staff needs training/rooms need upgrade

  This inn is near a lot shops and restaurants, however, the staff is not too knowledgeable about directions/locations of some of the places. On check out..one of the girls at the desk mistakenly charged me three times for my room.....very frustrating to have charges reversed! The floors were a little bit cleaner... hallways hot....one nice thing they added was a washer and dryer for guests to use whenever they like.
  
  Beds not too comfortable....highway noise with trucks and cars can be heard from the suites.

  The property has been recently remoded after katrina, the rooms and staff are very nice. would recommend.
