After having been a guest of another chain in this area on former trips, we would not select this chain ever again. No robes were provided, which is more common of a motor inn than a hotel in Union Square. While the linens were rather nice, the room was small, there was very little room to be comfortable while in the room, beyond sleeping and umbrellas were also not available. I left an item behind and didn't discover it until several days after arriving back at home. I would have expected a courtesy call from a gracious hotel. I also wouldn't have expected a $* charge to send an item as small as a belt 900 miles. Mildew in the shower and failure to report a found item were major failures.

The front desk staff was efficient and helpful. Our room was on an upper floor, far away from the elevator, and had a comfortable King bed. The window looked straight down a side street and you could see the skyline. Very nice! We were only here one night, so did not experience or use much of the facilities. For a nice place to stay, we would definitely come back. It was right near Union Square, plenty of shopping nearby. The Powell Street cable car and turnaround is very close. We walked about three blocks to the BART station in the morning, so I was very happy with the location.

Absolutely excellent location. Checked in and was not happy with size of room it was too small for being there for 7 nights. They immediately moved us to a larger room and they also provided us with a fridge. Front desk and cleaning staff were very friendly but they need to provide better recommendations and information on tours getting around etc. We did not find them very informative had to figure things out on our own. Would definitely stay there again!!!

We like to spend a couple of days in the city after New Years to shop and eat out. The Kensington Park is on Post just a block or so from Union Square so it's in a perfect location. The rooms have been redocorated and are very nice...not big, but well done. The front desk staff was friendly and put us in a back room on the 9th floor so we had a view of the city and not so much street noise. Morning coffee and tea were available on each floor, right outside our door actually, and it was very good. It was much better than the coffee at the restrurants! Parking was $*/day and they brought the car to the door whenever you wanted. Could have parked cheaper in a nearby lot, but then we would have to walk and find a new space when we got back. Convienence is worth something. Friendly staff, great location...all in all it was a positive experience.
