The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Despite the fact that I requested a non-smoking room, we were assigned one that smelled strongly of smoke and even had an ashtray! They were booked that night but switched us the very next day to a satisfactory space. Our stay included a free breakfast every morning. The breakfast was fresh and constantly re-filled. The food was the regular fare: three cold cereals, two hot cereals, two bagel flavors, three muffin flavors, mini danishes, hard boiled eggs, yougurt, waffle iron, sliced bread, juices, coffee and tea. We will return to this hotel next year. There was a security guard walking around the parking every evening

We came to Atlanta for a wedding. All of the other guests and all of the activities were in midtown or downtown, so this hotel was definitely a little out of the way and not in as nice of an area, but we sort of expected that considering we paid half as much as the other guests who stayed in midtown. This hotel is tucked away and right next to I-85 (so close that you can hear the cars at night). Our room smelled like it had been smoked in, but was otherwise clean and adequate. We skipped the free breakfast because it didn't look the greatest...but just be warned, if you don't know your way around Atlanta very well, make sure you find out where the better areas of town are ahead of time. We drove around and wound up on a street with strip club after strip club. If you do know your way, this is not far from Druid Hills or Piedmont Park...not very far from midtown and nicer areas, either. Overall, about what we expected for the money.

Room rate was very reasonable, especially for my having to book it over the phone at the last minute. Premises very clean and the staff was friendly, upbeat, eager to please, from the desk clerks to the housekeepers. Ice and concession machines were convenient to find indoors around the corner from the front desk. Brief walk off the property to Cheshire Bridge Rd, with its restaurants, cinema, and MARTA bus connections. As a "GREEN" initative for saving resources, you can put down a card on your pillow so housekeeping will simply make the bed and without having to change your sheets.... *** ...GREAT BREAKFAST !!! ... *** ... In addition to the ordinary "continental" fare of breads and cereal, they had fresh, cook-your-own, fluffy WAFFLES. (No butter, however, but only "whipped spread" hydrogenated soybean oil). Microwave oven available in the breakfast room (handy for punching up last night's leftover McD burger), though other guests didn't know that breakfast's polystyrene dishes should NOT be microwaved, because it releases toxic gas into their food. (hint -- unfolded double napkins, under the dry food, suffice to lay in for reheating.) Only big complaints have nothing to do with the hotel, but with small numbers of other guests who were in my way at the breakfast bar, plus the fact I was too busy to enjoy the amenities.
