The hotel was very nice, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location however was so-so, we took the T everywhere and there was a bit of a walk from the hotel to the station and it didnt look like a really good neighborhood. Normally we don't mind a walk but when the temperature was 95 degrees with 80% humidity, it kinda sucked. We got such a good deal on the price of the hotel, we knew tht there had to be a catch. Would stay there again if we had a rental car. Oh, and stay away from the restaurant downstairs, it was not very good. The hotel gave $* a day vouchers for the restaurant if you kept your linens. We decided to try the restaurant for breakfast one morning and again realized that there is a catch with every deal. Service was very poor, a staff member saw us walk in and we still had to wait about 10 min to be seated. The staff made us feel like they were doing us a favor by being there, also the food was not that great and very overpriced for what we got.

We chose this hotel for a weekend trip to Boston for our friend's wedding hosted at the Harvard Club. I chose the hotel based on the rating of 4 stars from web and from other positive reviews of the hotel. I was looking for a bargain, and was surprised to find a 4 star property at such a reasonable price. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that the online description matched the actual hotel lobby. Clean, modern, luxurious. The room was spacious with modern decorations that I've not seen at other comparably priced hotels. I absolutely fell in love with the decor and the paper products provided by the hotel for notes, etc. were top quality. The bedside tables had electrical outlets on the front for easy access, and the bed was excellent. Not another frame and headboard combination, but an actually bed! I wish there had been a sheet between the duvet and the fitted sheet, but the linens were soft and clean. If you skip housekeeping for a day, the hotel offers a $5 coupon at their restaurant. The area surrounding the hotel was good, but not great. There weren't enough places to eat within walking distance, and a Salvation Army around the corner was host to at least a dozen vagrants. There is a nice fire station across the street from the hotel that adds security to the neighborhood. The hotel has adequate security, and the elevator requires your room key to operate. The taxi stand was crowded and the bellhops seemed overworked and understaffed, but we enjoyed our stay and would definitely make a second trip to this hotel.

The hotel was very accommodating when I missed my connecting flight and allowed my sister to check in when she arrived before me. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious. The bedding was so soft and luxurious. The free internet was a nice bonus. The staff was alright, not overly friendly, not rude. All but this one particular bellman/doorman. What a breath of fresh air. He always greeted us with this big smile and a warm welcome/welcome back.

The staff was very accommodating. We asked for a late checkout and it was no problem. The best part of the hotel is the LINENS - heaven to sleep there. Didn't want to leave.
