we stayed just one night ,we planned to stay longer but could not leave soon enough.I thought it would be nice and romantic so i upgraded to suite for $ .the room was not worth $20.00 a night

I travel a LOT for business and see the same hotel room, time after time. I LOVE the Lodge because it is unique and beautiful and really makes you notice that you're not in just any old hotel. The staff is super nice and they have a reception during the week that you can go meet some other people and talk and learn things about others' business. The rooms are GIGANTIC. Mine had two bathrooms which was more than I needed but a little extra treat. I also had a little table where I could eat dinner that I could make in my microwave and save in the fridge-so convenient and handy! I also really enjoyed the Farmers Almanac channel that I haven't been able to find since I stayed there--I learned SO many things! The restaurant is phenomenal.

At one time this was the best hotel in the area. These days, it is old and tired. Don"t stay weekends. The hotel also features a public Sunday brunch buffet that looks substantial. You can partake, but you have to pay. Your hotel guest buffet is a small, tiny table set up in a corner of the main room, which you share with pay brunch eaters. The exterior and grounds need some work. They look rundown and tired. This place relies on an aging reupation of what it once was.

We were here for a wedding. The hotel looked nice on the outside. On the inside we were met with a staff that seemed to have much more important things to do than check us in. The hotel was warm and musty. Everyone in the wedding group came in with no allergy problems. All left with stuffed up noses and sore throats. The bands in the restaurant were so loud we needed ear plugs in our room. Unfortunately the hotel does not provide ear plugs. The pool was small and creepy looking. We will not be staying there again.

For $* a night, you would think there wouldn't be missing tile in the bathrooms and stained grout. Even the blanket on our bed seemed to come from a second hand store. If they can get away with charging $* / night, what in the world are they spending the money on? Horrible experience and we will never stay here again!
