Architect Jan Josef Wirch originally built Pachtuv Palace in 1765 for the Pachta family. The Palace MAMAISON SUITE HOTEL PACHTUV PA was and still is considered the most fabulous Baroque residence in Prague. In the early 19th century, a classical style rooming house was built adjacent to the palace on the river, which was in turn annexed to Pachtuv Palace. Historically the Palace was closely linked to legendary musicians including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who resided, composed and performed at Pachtuv Palace. The Palace also houses the famous Czech theater Na zabradli, a more recent addition from the 1970's. Pachtuv Palace is today a cultural and architectural landmark, which has been painstakingly reconstructed to its original grandeur. The Pachtuv Palace is located in the heart of historic Prague, on the Vltava River, just less than a mile from Charles Bridge and 5 minutes from the Old Town Square. Most historic attractions are within easy walking distance including the National Theatre, National Museum, National Opera, Clementinum Library, Rudolfinum concert hall and the old Jewish quarters. ThPachtuv Palace is easily accessible to public transportation and the CBD is less than 10 minutes by car. RuzyneInternational Airport is just 13 kilometers by car and the main trainstation is 2 kilometers from the property. I paid extra (about $200 a night) for the executive suite. The living room was large with a view of the Vltava River and a bit of the Charles Bridge. The bed comfort, although not as good as some, was the best I found in Greece or Prague. The bathroom was also better than any other on my trip to Europe. I highly recommend this hotel. I stayed at another hotel in Prague for a few nights as well and paid $150 a night for something that wasn't a quarter as nice.

The reservation process is easy; and the rate I received was $10 lower than I could find anywhere else.
