The hotel was very quaint and the staff was very nice and pleasant. I thought it was a little far from the attractions, but maybe that wasn't a bad thing. It was very quiet and relaxing. The indoor pool was very nice and clean. The daily breakfast buffet was great.

I have never been treated so rudely as by Meadow-mare’s staff. They ruined my much needed getaway with my girlfriend this week. I am only 23 years old but I’ve been visiting this resort for several years. On this occasion, a check-in error by the front desk staff resulted in a genuine display of poor customer service, bad judgment and disrespect. For some reason, we were checked-in under the wrong reservation. We provided all the information the desk clerk requested but somehow a mistake was made. Rather than discuss the issue and resolve the problem, they called the police and we were evicted from our room! Once the police were called, it was too late. The police treated us as criminals and there seemed to be no way to back out of this ugly situation since neither the police nor the resort staff seemed capable of being reasonable. Sometimes people just don’t want to admit that they made a mistake and this was a picture perfect example of that aspect of human behavior. The next day, I received a call from the resort owner, P C, who apologized for his staff. P offered to buy us a free dinner, but I’m sitting here thinking, “I just don’t want that free dinner after what they put us through”. The staff’s rudeness alone still causes me indigestion. We traveled 2 hours to enjoy a getaway night and that was ruined due to plain stubbornness. This could have easily been resolved by simply re-swiping my credit card, but the staff decided my girlfriend and I were high rolling con-men who had planned for months to steal a night from the Meadow-mare. What a Night-mare!

This resort had an ideal location for walking into the village of oganquit and the Marginal way. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great weekend getaway. Recommend highly.

Overall a nice hotel in a convenient location. My one complaint is with the air conditioning. I was in a premium room with a balcony and a fireplace. The A/C unit vented onto the tiny balcony. The two chairs on the balcony were only inches from the hot air vent, rendering the balcony unusable when the A/C unit was running. The air conditioning unit was modern with a thermostat and remote. However it had only two selectable speeds: very loud and somewhat louder. It was situated so that it blew cold air directly onto one side of the king bed (3-4 feet away). I solved the latter problem by putting a chair and towel in front of it. However it took me over an hour to fall asleep with the jet-engine-like roar of the low-speed fan setting, and it proved too hot to leave the A/C off.
