We stayed here for one Saturday night because it was very close to Universal. When I had arrived the receptionist had trouble with the computer that kept freezing up. The room had a very noisy air conditioner which was barely keeping the room cool. The room was clean but had a view of the back of the building out front. I had reserved a room with a pool view. In the morning we went to the free breakfast. It consisted of bread, bagels, pastries, and cereal. It did not look nothing like the breakfast area in the pictures. The only area you could sit was outside which was very small crowded area, so we took ours back to the room. For the room being half off from the normal rate I did not bother complaining.

I planned a bachelorette party in Orlando and this is the hotel I booked. It was GREAT! We had a first floor pool view room. The little tiki bar and nice lounge chairs were an added bonus. I would def stay again...with or without my family. The hotel is an older one but clean.

An Okay Hotel, Nothing Spectacular

I know many people write reviews and depending on the type of person they are or what they were expecting determines their outlook on their stay. Well, I was hoping for the best and preparing for the worst! I got a little closer to the worst then the best. We stayed in rm 418 but was quickly moved to rm 318 after the shower was backed up. They changed our room immediate but the ""okay"" title for the hotel quickly downgraded. However, we were there to go to Universal and Wet n Wild and that purpose was served. The hotel is an EXCELLENT location to Universal and across the street from Wet n Wild (which we walked to and I am NO walker, thats to explain how close it was). The hotel is also perfectly close to the night life! Every store you could think of is in near distance. Stores such as walgreens, KFC, TGIF, shoe stores, clothing stores, red lobsters, olive garden etc just to name a few. We literally had a variety of dining choices and was able to run to the store to get anything we left behind when packing. The hotel staff was okay but often took longer than usual to answer the phone and towel requests were dragged out! The halls did smell damp at times but it rained for our entire stay and people were coming in soaked. The hotel definitely needs to upgrade. The location is excellent but the overall appearance of the hotel is under average at best. We made the best of our stay as most people who stay there have to do, but if you are looking for a luxurious hotel stay DO NOT stay there. If you are there to enjoy the parks this is an option!

First, there was a huge black moth on the curtain and later on there was a ROACH crawling across the night stand. Second, the HANDLE ON THE BATHROOM DOOR WAS BACKWARDS. I don't know why. Maybe, if your kid misbehaved you could lock them in there. Ridiculous. Third, the TOILET RAN 24/7. Well, It would run for about a minute then shut off for around 10 seconds then start again. We got use to it but if you're a lite sleeper it would drive you crazy. Fourth, housekeeping tried opening the door at 10:11am. No, wait, HOUSEKEEPING DID OPEN THE DOOR AT 10:11AM. If we hadn't had the latch on she would've come in. Check out isn't until 11am, why was she there? Fifth, they give you a paper when you check in with a map of the hotel, check in/out times, and other info. It does say if you need to extend your check out time to call the front desk. I called the front desk to politely ask just that and before I was finished the front desk clerk was already saying no. SHE WAS WASN'T EVEN NICE ABOUT IT. Sixth, we later found out that we had left a set of keys in the nightstand. To make a long story short, housekeeping found them but HOUSEKEEPING HAD ALREADY LEFT AND NOBODY HAD A KEY TO HOUSEKEEPING TO GET OUR KEYS BACK. WE DIDN'T GET THE KEYS BACK UNTIL THE 3RD TIME WE WENT BACK TO GET THEM. Thank god we live near the area. The best part about staying here is there's a Twisty Treat across the street. GREAT ICE CREAM, HORRIBLE HOTEL.
