Nice older hotel on a major highway, easy to find if you can follow road signs. Not close to Historic Downtown Natchez, but a 5 minute drive away. Check-in was a bit slow, but friendly. Only hotel that I have ever stayed where Housekeeping knocked on the door 30 minutes after we checked in to make sure everything was okay. One mattress was too firm for my liking, but that's how bargain hotels are, daughter got the better mattress. Breakfast was fair, cold, but with a microwave handy to reheat biscuits. Fresh waffles, with staff member helping by delivering waffle to your table. Would stay again if in the area.

The hotel was not exceptional but it was clean and comfortable. The reception staff was surly and not very helpful. That certainly was a negative to an otherwise unremarkable hotel. Although it is represented as being in the historic district, it really isn't. That is several miles away.

We made our reservations online for this hotel, primarily because it was in the Historic Area (it said) of Natchez. Only if you consider the local Shoney's Restaurant, MacDonald and WalMart historic will you consider this area historic. It is very difficult to find. We were using our GPS and the GPS took us to a completely different address that what's here. We called the hotel looking for help and was met with a stiff, unyielding front desk person who could only tell us, "you can't be on Hwy 61, -because we are the only Days Inn in Natchez". Fair enough but she was unwilling to take the time to find our what our problem was and only waited for me to say "okay". So my finance and I were left to figure it out for ourselves. After driving around for another 20 minutes we called again and I tried to tell here where we were using a major landmark in the city. She cut me off, told me she did not know where that was but did at this point tell me that, the hotel is hard to find with a GPS" AND proceeded to give me a different address to put into the GPS. That did not work either and we again were left to wander another 20 minutes before we finally found the place. This staff member was on dury at about 6:00p on a weekday when we finally checked in. We did not tell her we were the people who had been trying to find the place because we could sense here lack of interest in guests, even as she assigned us our room. . Our king beds needs new mattress and the bathroom in particularly needs updating. I would not stay again.
