  Rooms open onto a pleasant green hidden from the street, which gives a friendly intimacy to this inexpensive motel with all the amenities. Each room is fresh and specially decorated, owner/staff is always available/helpful (for example: one employee looked online and found the time for the local farmers market for me), and the continental breakfast is fresh daily. We stay there often!

  We didn't want to drive as far as Willits but hotels in the Redwoods were priced way high. Checking out other motels between the Redwoods and Willits on the internet I found many negative comments. Going further I scanned the Willits motels - again magny negatives. The Old West Inn, however, was praised. We called and reserved a room. We arrived after dark and were expected. Excellent and genuinely friendly service, a charming room decor and very clean. Each room had a western business name and were furnished nicely to reflect its theme. Mattress excellent, plenty of room; a decent continental breakfast. We will stay there again - actually looking forward to it. Just driving by I wouldn't have stopped. I encourage you to stay there and we are recommending it to our friends also.
