  I recently made my first trip to Saigon and spent two nights at the Grand Hotel which is located within one block of the Saigon River and in the middle of the hotel district in downtown Saigon. Great location in prime section of the city. The hotel staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful in dealing with the hotel as well as setting up a tour of Cu Chi and downtown Saigon. Great old hotel, recently renovated - be sure to request a room in the old part of the hotel.
