We travelled from Dallas on spring break with our 15, 12 and 8 year olds. The room we were given had 2 queen side beds with a tiny bathroom, toilet located beside bath so no privacy. I spoke to reception saying that the room would not accommodate 5, it was false advertising and they said it was probably the fault of the agency we booked through. i explained that I checked the description through their own site but nothing could be done. We went back the next morning because as we looked around the area really had a lot to offer. We were offered different accommodation but had to pay $* plus other fees extra per night. Also all amenities were an additional cost, cycling $*per hour per person, putting green, the gym! And parking beside our room, $* per day. Breakfast was very good and staff were excellent, though again expensive, $*.00 apron for 5. Rooms only got the most basic clean whilst there, the bathroom was not cleaned and some of the replacement towels had marks on them. We loved the location the views and the fact there was plenty to do but again on their website they mentioned kids clubs, which were not open for another few weeks. Overall we did have a good time and the place is very close to other attractions but the credit card bill is in and it was very expensive vacation.

we found this hotel on travrl agency and liked the looks of it because it resembled hawaii. very unique little bungalows. overall, a unique environment for a hotel in a big city. it was conveniently located close to the highway so Old Town and Downtown as well as the airport were easy to get to by car. the downsides were -- $* a night for parking. the spot was located outside the bungalow which is convenient but we felt that the parking was a bit pricey. also they charge $*per day for internet and $* a day to use the gym. we felt it was a little ridiculous to charge for parking, as most people are already being charged to park their cards at their respective airports. also, the gym was small and limited - definitely not warranting the charge per day per person. one day our room was not cleaned at all - the maids tend to come very late in the afternoon. the barefoot bar outside area by the pier was nice. inside it was a bit bright, would have been nice if it were more dimlit and loungey. felt a bit like a denny's environment. baleen, their fancy restaurant, has a small bar and a nice feel with white tablecloths. we did not eat here but had a drink at the bar. bartender was very nice and helpful. overall, the staff at this hotel are very nice and friendly. would give this hotel a B+.

We chose this hotel for a 4-day weekend getaway for a little R&R and a break from the cold PRO's: The resort itself is quite beautiful with lush tropical landscaping, paths to walk on, fire pits on the beach facing the bay, 5 swimming pools, exercise room, sauna, spa, etc. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable, short walk to the beach, fire pits available to make a bonfire a night and s'mores. The resort has mini-golf and bicycles available for a fee, a gift shop and restaurants. We found everything we wanted to do easily accessible from the resort. Sea World, the gaslamp district, La Jolla, San Diego Zoo, Tijuana, shopping malls, boutiques, etc are only a short drive away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't find any issues there. CONS: I have found that normally while staying at a "resort" the amenities available are included in the price of the room. Not the case here. They charge for EVERYTHING! You pay extra for: - Internet - Parking. Each room is "assigned" a parking space however we were charged $* a day to park. - Mini-golf is $*, - bicycle rentals have a fee, - fire wood, starter kit, lighter, and s'mores kit cost extra. - Gym - use of the gym is $* a day per person. - room service fee and a delivery fee I would not choose this resort for a future stay.

Fantastic, loved it, better than we could have imagined. The suite was very tastefully decorated. This is the only place that we ever got a good nights sleep. the beds were that comfortable!! Can not rave enough about the great experience. The staff was wonderful. A++ Only wish it had been warmer so we could have utilized the pools and hot tubs.

This is the first time we have stayed at Paradise Point and we absolutely loved it. Room was really nice, I think the front desk said they renovated earlier this year. We only ate at the Barefoot restaurant but it was great because you are right on the water and they have a fish pond, which the kids loved. We don't travel often, but when we come back to San Diego, we would love to stay at Paradise again.
