We enjoyed our stay at The Carolina Oceanfront. Our room was very clean and the King-size bed was extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast was a nice treat and the waffles were served with a smile. I have already recommended this hotel to several friends.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and the location was great. The only complaint we had was the pool closed at 9:00 (pm). That is quite early for a beach hotel. We were hoping to do some night swimming but couldn't. Other than that we had a great experience and would definatly stay again.

We got a room on the third floor and had an ocean view. Request an upper level room with a view. The room was clean and had everything you would want. Iron and board, room safe, hairdryer, coffeemaker with coffee, frig, and microwave. There were computers in the lobby for those without a laptop. The wireless worked really good in the room. We didn't go to the breakfast or the pool but the beach area was nice. There is a private boardwalk from the parking lot. The tv was large too. The front desk worker, Cindy, was very nice and very helpful. There was also a guest laundry area. A great find - we will return.

We stayed on July 31-Aug 02 2009. Overall the room was clean and service decent however we both started getting sore throats the second night. We had the air conditioner on, and this seemed to bring on the symptoms and make them worse. We were with other people who did not stay at hotel and they did not get sick. On Sunday coming back we both had sore throats which later turned into sinus infections, which we are still trying to get over and its been a week since we left. We think we got it from something in the ac unit, smelled very musky in our room. So may have been mold, or something to that nature. I am a flight attendant and have stayed in many hotels around the world. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Staff was absolutely wonderful!! Clean room, extremely comfortable beds (and loved the pillows), complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The location of the hotel was terrific as far as proximity to Outer Banks sights (right in the middle of everything). Everything was very clean and well-maintained, especially since the hotel is about 20 years old. Would definately stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a clean, comfortable place to stay on the Outer Banks. We will be back!!!
