Very comfortable beds, clean rooms for the age of the hotel. Only had breakfast one morning of our stay but was very good. Train did go by two nights of our stay around 2 am but did not bother us too much. We would stay again if had too.

The staff was helpful and the room was spacious and clean but the railroad tracks are right behind the motel and when the trains go by the building actually shakes if you are on the back side (near the tracks) and it's LOUD. Ask for a room on the front (Poyntz Ave) side of the motel.

Freight train passes within 40 feet of the room day and night. The bed shook on the 3rd floor every time the train rushed by. Wind rushing through the window gaps whistled and kept me awake half the night. Sink faucet handle came off in my hand first time I used it. I could see cob webs on the wall from across the room. Breakfast was mediocre at best The front desk did not have the 2 bed room I prepaid for when I arrived. I was given a single bed room and had to complain to get it switched. There were no hot cups for the in room coffee maker

We had reservations for 3 rooms for several family members. When we arrived in mid- afternoon they told us they gave one room away to another traveler and did not have any more rooms available in the same price range. I told them I'd accept an upgrade at the same price since they admitted they ""gave my room away"" and the staff at the desk agreed, but after messing with the computer for at least 5 minutes they suddenly ""found"" another room just like I reserved. All 3 rooms happened to be just right beside each other. The queen rooms all are right next to the railroad tracks, which they don't inform you about when making the reservations. Trains were very noisy and run in the middle of the night. All in all, not a good night! Inconsiderate staff. Mold or mildew around the air conditioning unit in the room. Breakfast gone before posted hours, and staff said they could not replenish because breakfast would be over in about 30 minutes anyway.

Everyone at the front desk was so very nice. When I first checked into my room and saw the proximity of the railroad tracks, I was hesitant. And honestly, there were times when the bed vibrated slightly. However, I found it soothing. New bedding and wallpaper enhanced the experience at this very affordable hotel.
