We were very disappointed in our stay here this past weekend. It was rated 3 stars by travel agency and 4 by reviewers but my husband and I thought it should have been only a 2 star; The description was misleading; it is NOT hear any shopping, wineries, or the downtown. We had to search for a sports bar to watch the NCAA finals and the only place near was an Applebees. The walls and ceiling was very thin. . .we could hear people walking above us (very noisy). The continental breakfast was definitely substandard.

This hotel is a bit old and outdated - needs some renovations. The room was clean, although the carpet was stained and needed replacing. Walls were very thin - could hear the hallway traffic and could hear the people above us walking in their room....waking us up every morning with the creaking ceiling. The front desk was friendly. They do offer a free continental breakfast , nothing great, but the waffle maker made good waffles. We stayed here because the price was right, but would in the future pay a bit more for more a comfortable and quiet hotel. The location was very convenient though to shopping, restaurants and Sonoma State University.

Arrived late and was greeted by friendly, informative staff. I had a last minute booking that was difficult to locate, yet the staff was professional and supportive of my gaff. Our room was quiet, clean, well-maintained and was comfortable. The follow morning we enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast in a small dining area staffed with a host to ensure that no guest was wanting. The price point was a bit high at $*, only because of a last minute booking. Based on my experience, this was an $* room.

Showed up at 2:55 for a 3 p.m. check-in. The hotel was completely empty! Seemed things were going well, got my key, went out to get my luggage, and proceeded to my room. Upon approaching it, I noticed it had not been cleaned. I went back to the desk and the woman said, ;Would you like to upgrade to a suite; I said sure. She told me it would be an extra $*. I was appalled. Since I wasn't going to upgrade, I then had to wait for them to make the room up. I asked if I could get another room just like it, and they said ;no because I booked THIS room and it was over the internet. The Bed was comfy, yet the bathroom really needs some updating. Rooms are very dark because the lamps are not in the right location and there are no overhead lights. No entrance light in the room, so forget doing your makeup and such in the room mirror while your mate showers. There are comparable hotels in the area which I would beg you to check out ;also a bit closer to the amazing downtown in Santa Rosa.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Internet easy to access. Breakfast area was not clean. They had run out of most things at breakfast and weren't too concerned at getting food replenished until the day shift arrived. They made things right but it was too late.
