This was just an overnite stop before checking into a Universal hotel for the weekend - thank goodness. Checking in at 7:30 p.m. took close to 25 minutes - only three parties in front of me but the clerk appeared to be new (someone even called to check in on him and he told them he was "fine") and was alone. He was overwhelmed & the line was out the door by the time I was done. When walking into the room I smelled fresh paint so I was hopeful but then I turned on the light (the ONE that worked). The bed linens were worn and the pillows did not smell fresh. The floor was uneven in places and damp. The bathroom was more updated than the room itself with lots of counter space but could have been cleaner. Distance to park was good but do yourself a favor and pay a few extra dollars and stay elsewhere.

After reading reviews, I was a little skeptical, but booked anyway. I am glad I did! Now we stay at this hotel every time we go to Orlando, which is 7-8 times a year at least, since we live close. The complaints of other travelers about musty odors and old decor hasn't been an issue, as it seems they have recently refurbished every room we have gotten. It is very crowded at breakfast time, but a small inconvenience for a actual free hot breakfast and not the toast and cereal you get most places. Also, there is a little deck area by the pool where almost no one ever sits, and is a great way to enjoy a quiet meal if you aren't much of a morning person. We travel with toddlers and children- so I tend to be particular about the cleanliness of the room, and have yet to encounter a problem with this hotel not being up to my standards. The only "complaint" I have is it would be nice if the tiki bar was open later (or at all in some cases). the times we have stayed here, we would have enjoyed a relaxing beverage by the pool after a day at the parks yet seem to always miss the tiki bar's open hours. All in all, we plan to stay at this hotel any time we go- which happens to be again next weekend!

i stay there 2 weeks, it was our first visit to florida and i went with 5 other persons including my mom, my husband, 2 teenagers nieces and my 6 y/o girl, we all enjoy our trip, went to the hotel only at nights, and the girls enjoy a lot the pool at that hours, the rooms were clean and no musty odor, the shower curtain had the problems other mentioned here but we handle it ok. the breakfast at first was amazing but after the first week we get tired of the same, we have to fight for the tables and the personnel was kinda rude or tired of being working there (including the desk)but it doesnt ruin our stay, if we can pay more will try something else, but if going again on a budget of course will book there again.
