Parking was full (yet still charged). The supposed ""free"" wi-fi is a $6.95/night charge. If you stay in the second building, the WI-FI doesn't even work (you get no signal). Probably b/c the transmitter is in the other building. The magnetic room keys never worked so we were stuck out on the front steps in the cold trying to get them to swipe. Didn't work on our room half the time either. Room safe was completely unfunctionable - no response at all and could not lock up our belonging. They gave us a queen size mattress that felt like we were sleeping on a pile of lumps when we booked a ""king size deluxe"". The A/C was subpar. The shower just shot out one steady stream of water (though the water did stay hot the entire time - only bonus). Furnishings were sparse and cheap. Need I say more. Just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else - ""resort"" or non-working wi-fi, fee. My online agency was of no assistance with these issues either.

Stayed two nights, no problem with check-in, staff friendly and efficient. Nice room and good location (safe area but not far to French Quarter). BUT there is an extra and mandatory "resort fee" of $* a night which was not disclosed when reserving the hotel. And the walls are a bit thin as other guests' arguments and/or loud conversations could be heard. Also the morning showers were only warm, not hot, even at 5am.

I booked a two night stay that this hotel to visit New Orleans and friends. The rooms are decorated very quaint and cute. However, they were rather same in size, especially the bathroom. I must admit that the front desk personnel lacked customer service skills. They were rude upon arrival and especially when a problem with room occurred. After checking in, we notice that we were given a smoking room. We asked to be transferred to a non-smoking room and were told to basically deal with it because it shows up in her system that I requested a smoking room. Why would non-smokers request smoking rooms? The front desk agent went off on us and said that all the non-smoking rooms were given out. No solutions were given. I insisted on a refund. Checked into a nicer hotel that offered better rates.

The room's are tiny, the bathroom even smaller. It's almost like being in a camper's bathroom. The worst of it all was that they didn't have my travelocity reservation when I arrived, but after speaking with travelocity allowed me to check-in. A week later I recieved unauthorized charges from the hotel on my credit card, and they only forwarded me to a manager who does not answer his phone to have the charges removed. I had to go directly through my credit card company. This hotel is in a convenient location but it has to be one of the most poorly managed hotels I've ever stayed at. It is not worth the price, even when it's on sale for a cheaper price. Never again!
