  I booked this hotel on line and was quoted a price of $*. i then asked if there was a better rate, discounts for aaa,aarp, veterans, state employee. i was ...

  I booked this hotel on line and was quoted a price of $*. I then asked if there was a better rate, discounts for AAA,AARP, veterans, state employee. I was told this was the best price. When we checked in (the day after I booked on line) I asked for the rate and was quoted $*. So... I asked for that rate and was told that because I booked on line through travel agency - I could not cancle or get the better rate. So... what I learned is to call the hotel direct before booking on line. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was great. When we checked in, the young lady at the desk was very polite, however another staff member (Man in a suit) came up to the desk and inturrupted our check in process by asking if the she wanted coffee as they were going out to pick up for other staff. It would have been nice if the man would have said "excuse me" for disrupting our process. We were in a hurry as we were on our way to my fathers funeral and it was snowing.
