I got a really good deal on this hotel. I wouldn't want to pay any more for it though because the rooms all have outside access, which is okay I guess. I felt safe because of the area but prefer indoor coridors. The room itself was roomy, nice TV, good bed comfort and the fridge/micro were a plus. For the money it worked out.

05/18/2009The building is older but very clean. very comfortable room. in a great location for eating, getting on the expressway to memphis and ease of locating it.

I thought the day time staff was very wonderful but the night clerk at the front desk was very rude unfortunately he was busy with his girlfriend and didn't like the interuption. We had two rooms and they put us on separate sides of the building and didn't even inquire if this was a problem. Also I have bad authritus and they put me upstairs and my younger daughters on a bottom floor on the other side of the building. My daughters door had a very big gap in it that needs fixed and Saturday had a bunch of people (little kids) running up and down the walk screaming. The rooms themselves were not bad especially for the price.

the location of this hotel, in proximity to shopping and eating was great. This hotel was bad! This was the hotel where we had a negotiated Family Reunion rate. It was negotiated at $* per night. Family members from all across the country, called and reserved rooms. When we arrive to check in, almost ALL of the family members were told that they had no record of their reservation, but they could give us the room at a good rate of $* to $*! This didn't happen to one, two, three, four people. It happened to 80% of the family members.
Multiple problems with different rooms. One room the headboard was broken and tilted, the toilet was not level, blanket had stains, peep hold in door hanging out of door, shower head hanging out of wall, air conditioner would not cut off, so we froze, back of remote was taped on, key cards didn't work, free breakfast consisted of rubbery boiled eggs, waffle maker that only burned waffles, and a policy that states you can't take the food outside of the lobby, steep stairs that made it difficult for older family members to climb, (but according to staff, no available rooms on the first floor), renovation signs, but the only renovation was cosmetic (paint only).
