Oh my goodness I truly felt like I had gotten way FAR away....a true relaxation experience. The beauty of it was that it was only a two and a half hour drive from where I live. I was greeted by attentive bellman and the front desk was very attentive. My room had a view of the golf course and the fountain, so relaxing. I could just hang out there.....but of course I had to experience the SPA!!!!! I had a deep tissue massage with ABC and it was to die for. My neck pain was totally gone the next day. I had a yummie chicken salad for lunch and shopped in the golf shop...but not for golf stuff. They had the most unique items...I got a beautiful scarf, and these cool sandals that you can change the top and make the look like a whole different sandal. Way cool!!! All of the staff were pleasant and alwlays smiling. The Assistant General Manager, Ms. XYZ happened to greet me when I checked in and said to let her know if I needed anything. I was so impressed with the service, smiles and positive atmosphere. The property si tranquil and you really feel like you are away from everything....even though it's about a 20 minute drive or so to wherever you want to go in San Diego. Can't wait to go back for more massages, good food and pure bliss relaxation.....without having to get on a plane for 5 hours and hassle with all of that. The Rancho Bernardo Inn was an experience I plan to take in again...I think a girls trip is on the list for next time. A big thank you to the RBI team...they all really seem to love their jobs...it shows!

We stayed for 3 nights and it probably was the best place I have stayed in a long time. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about all parts of the Inn. The front desk was extremely helpful, the bellman were just as polite and friendly. The room had just been redone and were very nice. We played golf and used the Spa facility. The Spa was top of the line and the golf course was very nice. We had it as part of a package, but probably was not worth the outside price. We could not get into the 5Star restruant was booked, but the cafe was great. They make their own pastries and breads everyday. Definitly would stay again and recommend to anyone.

A great weekend. The golfing facilities are excellent and you can get teaching as well as playing. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the spa. The dining room at the resort is a no jean,; but they fitted us in in our denim when they realized that the informal dining area was dominated by the football playoff folks. Nice sensitivity!

stayed at the rancho for 5 nights in oct. 2008. everything was absolutely perfect. the rooms are actually just like the photos, all updated and very lovely. the grounds are gorgeous, it is quiet, and the staff is extremely accomodating. the spa and golf course are also very nice. we did not eat at the restaurants except for breakfast and it was good. we definitely will stay there again when we are in the area.
