Very nice place...clean, nice pool...good food...only two downsides...the lazy river closes at 4pm...our kids were not ready to get out that early...and the wait staff at the pool was almost non-existent...we had to get up and order drinks almost every time...all-in-all nice place

I stayed at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in late August 2010. The place was beautiful and well kept. The kids had a great time at Splashtopia! We reserved a poolside room and the entrance to splashtopia was right outside our sliding door. The room was beautiful and clean. The only downers were the roaches (2) and crickets (2) that entered under the door due to the heat (110 degrees) outside. The onsite restaurant - Blue Ember - food was fantastic - kids eat for free. There were also plenty of places to eat nearby and shopping as well. I'll definitely come again when it's cooler to play the golf course. I highly recommend this place!

The pictures of this place look beautiful but when you get there in person it is pretty dissapointing. Its pretty but its a billion times nicer in the pictures. The service in Bluember is horrible however we really liked one bartender . She was so nice and helpful and we really enjoyed talking to her. And she made an amazing lemon drop. Besides that we were pretty upset with the rest of the stay. The manager in bluember was rude to us and he was on his cell phone texting right in front of everyone. Very unprofessional move on his part. The rooms were small and there were hairs all over the shower. The tv did not work and they had to come fix it. and to top it all off they tried charging us for room charges that we did not even make ourselves. The pools were nothing special and parts of the golf course were brown. This place really needs to clean up their service. I can say that i would never go to rancho las palmas again and i would certainly never suggest it to other people. Save yourself the trouble and go to the desert springs marriot. The service is amazing and it blows this place out of the water.

We just returned from 3 days at Rancho Las Palmas. Beautiful resort. Great pool area for kids, 2 waterslides, a large pool, Lazy river, and a small sand beach with shallow water for young children. Grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Front office very disorganized. We arrived around noon for check in realizing that check in wasn't until 3. Huge line at desk, most were people checking out, because you can't check out from room. Line moved slowly. Very disorganized. We were with 2 other parties. We were all told they would call our cell phones as soon as room was ready. Both of the other parties we were with were called by 3 saying there room was ready. We never received a call. At 5 we went back to see what was going on. Told room still not ready. Waited another hour, room still not ready. Finally found the maid and she said the room had been ready for hours. They also double charged room on my friends credit card. Charged the entire stay on card 1st day and then did it again on 2nd day. Toilets plugged up in entire building last day of visit. No one came to fix it so we just checked out. Food is pricey but lots of restraunts close by.
