We were very late getting to our room and the staff/owners were waiting at the front desk with a smile and a small gift bag. In a time when no one really cares about service the people at this hotel went above and beyond to see that we were happy and comfortable. Some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. A beautiful pool area. This hotel is one of the great old ladies from a time past when families traveled together and stopped for the night at well known named hotels. There were a lot of empty rooms but we had the same thing at all our stopps along our 10 day road trip.Would definatly recommend this hotel .The only thing they were lacking was the breakfast. I had no problem with it but husband needs a little more than cereal and toast.

Our sheets had trash in them and the bathrooms had not been cleaned. There was a used half bar of soap still in the tub and old toothpaste still in the sink. The floors had not been vaccumed and there were roaches lurking about. This place should be shut down.

I was here under a group reservation. The rooms were filthy-cobwebs,roaches, cigarette holes in the linens. The pictures are not even close to accurate. The TV didn't work. The only thing the remote did was change channels. The air-conditioning did not cycle through properly. I had to get up all night long to turn it on and off. The unit next to ours didn't even have a door knob. We were pre-paid through a group trip and had to stay or we would have left. The breakfast was a joke. The only nice thing about this place was the pool. There were much beter hotels blocks away. This was not even worth it as a last resort. Sleeping in the car would have been better.

I made a trip to Hot Springs for a furneral November 2006. I was going to be in town for several days. I booked it through AARP. Originally I had paid reservations for Americana Econo Inn. It was so filthy and unoccupied that I refused to stay there. When I called the Travel office the man said he would transfer my reservation to Rodeway Inn. I was told I would be very happy there. It was a very old motel with bad outside lighting. Mold on the tile in shower. The furniture was very old. I wouldn't stay there if it was free! This place should not be listed as a AARP hotel or motel.
