The room was large and located at the end of a hall with windows on two sides. Most of the windows were broken and the panes had not been replaced. We liked having a thermostat in the room as it was cold in New Orleans and we needed heat in the room. Unfortunately, the restaurant was only open for breakfast while we were there because of Mardi Gras, which seemed like a lame reason to close and offer only room service. The alarm system went off in the middle of the night and took a long time to turn off after it was determined that it was a false alarm. The hotel was well located for access to the French Quarter and to Canal Street

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Just a quick couple blocks from Bourbon st. But really far from Jackson Square. The lobby isn't substantial, but you are really never there much anyway. The rooms are super modern but the actual "bedroom" is small. We unfortuately had a double bed room instead of a king (it was just two of us). That cut the size down a bit, but the bathroom made up for it. It was beautiful marble and subway tile. I came home and commented to my husband that for the first time that the hotel bed was more comfortable than our own bed (with awesome feather pillows!). The front desk was helpful and had lots of great ideas. There was internet in the lobby to use along with Starbucks. Would totally recommend to anyone and would stay again. Thanks for a great vacation NOLA!!

We chose this hotel for our combination anniversary/my 40th bday trip. It is extremely close to the French Quarter without being amid the action 24/7. A short walk up Bourbon and across Canal to Common St. offered a quiet retreat after a long day of site seeing and stuffing ourselves with fresh sea food. I had requested a king room but we got a 2 double bed room instead. When I called to see if we could change, they did not have a room available but gave us free breakfast instead. Breakfast at their award winning restaurant was fantastic! Plus we weren't in our room much anyway. Very nice stay and we would recommend it to our friends.

The Renaissance Pere Marquette was a great hotel, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. First of all we arrived before noon, we had requested an early check in prior to our trip and they granted that. Check in was quick and easy, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were a little small but very clean and modern, besides we spent alot of time outside of the hotel exploring the French Quarter. The only real gripe we had was paying for parking which was day but we did get great rates for the hotel itself so that made up for it. Lastly, we requested a late check out because our flight going back home was in late afternoon and they happily gave us until 1:30. All and all it was a great trip and we would definately stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here during The French Quarter Festival and were not that impressed with this hotel. It was nice and clean and the staff was excellent, but we had a stand up shower that leaked VERY badly everytime we took a shower. Parking was expensive($30 a day) but that is almost everywhere in the quarter. It was nice but expected more for a five star hotel. We will probably return to The Shereton or The Bienville House next time. But we would stay here again if our favorites were booked.
