The bed was nice. The elevator was broken the entire time, and we were lied to about it- promised that it would be fixed, down for one day, etc. Front desk was okay, nothing special. The room next to us had a small yappy dog, and after calling the front desk to complain about the noise I was hung up on. There is no light in this hotel- they claim it's a themed hotel but as far as I know, the sun shone in the 1930s. The continental breakfast was pathetic- canned fruit and toast, and there was no decaf coffee to be found at the breakfast or in the suite. We were charged a "resort fee" of $* a night, which I guess includes a happy hour at a sister hotel, but as we were traveling with a three-year-old it was just an unnecessary charge. Parking is average for South Beach at $*a night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for any other reason but drinking.

location is pretty good,,its not on the strip but its only a short block away from collins ave,,theres Setai right across street and W is 2blocks up and 5blocks to Lincoln Rd. everything is in walking distance. hotel is amazing,,its all suites so rooms are huge with full kitchen. compare to the fancy hotels on collins like shore club, delanos, sagamore make your money worthed and stay at Riviera and go for drinks at one of those fancy hotels. hotel staffs are very pleasant and helpful, pool is a bit small but its romantic. they dont serve any alcohol but you can bring your own so it saves you from paying over-priced drinks. overall it was a great experience staying @riviera. trust me you wont regret it!!

The spur-of-the-moment planning really paid off. I came here with my girlfriend for a weekend and it has been one awesome experience for us. The luxurious rooms, the bedspreads, the bathtub, and the matching bathrobes set a romantic tone. I have never seen my girlfriend acting so lovey-dovey before! We also took daily massages at the spa and the feeling was simply great. It felt good not to worry about anything else for two heavenly days. Would have indeed loved to stretch my weekend more.

This hotel is perfect for corporate meetings and company seminars due to its “hostly” ambience. I am a frequent traveler and have stayed at a lot of hotels over the world. But very few have met the standards of what is called as a “good hotel.” This hotel more than satisfies the criteria. The manager personally saw to it that all the guests at our company conference were comfortable and all their requirements were fulfilled. Three cheers for your service staff and keep up the good work!

What I liked most about the Riviera South Beach Hotel was the fusion decor of the hotel rooms. Being an interior designer, I had always been critical about creative room designing – but while staying at the luxury suites of the Riviera, I never got an opportunity to complain. The one bedroom suite that I rented had exquisite hardwood floors and even a separate living room that was furnished with a queen sleeper sofa. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will surely come back to discover more of the place!
