08/17/2009Checked in - lobby smelly, cleaning supplies and vaccums laying around. found room - accesed from outside doors - smelled of smoke as i got into hallway...hmmm all non-smoking rooms ( ...
Checked in - lobby smelly, cleaning supplies and vaccums laying around. Found room - accesed from outside doors - smelled of smoke as I got into hallway...hmmm all non-smoking rooms (or so the doors said...) wierd, right? Opened the room we had been given - GROSS!! Smelled horrible, smoky and wet; yet is was supposed to be a non-smoking room??? Ashtray and fresh book of matches on the dresser... Carpet was filthy- place just stunk... OH YEAH...A/C didn't work either :( Front desk didn't care - huge softball tourney in town, all other hotels booked solid - they only had one SMOKING room left anyway to rent...Left there and drove another 4 hours to get home, to cap off a 12 hour travel day...Exhausted and HATING RODEWAY!!! Don't stay unless you want to catch something...

The room was nasty, burns in the carpet, bed was like a park bench, wind was blowing in under the wall heater(whcih blew cold or hot). Bedspread smelled like dirty feet. WOuld never recommend this place or stay there, would sleep in my car first. Pet friendly, but not a spot of grass for the pet.

Bed Bugs!!!!!!!!! It was so Horrible and Gross!!!! I reserved rooms with this Rodeway Inn for my husband, myself, and my sister-in-law's family and friends. My sister-in-law decided to stay a second night and was given a different room for their second night's stay. She and the others that shared a room with her woke up in the morning with numerous Bed Bug Bites on them. The room that my husband and I stayed in for two nights and the room that my sister-in-law and family stayed in the first night, evidently, did not have bed bugs in it.

When traveling to Sioux Falls, you are probably traveling THROUGH Sioux Falls from a faraway place. Sadly, this hotel is old and in need of serious, extreme, thorough renovations, but you can't beat the price ** for two of us and an elderly Lhasa Apso! All we needed was a shower and a bed, and I've stayed in worse for more money!
