Not great! Food was cold there & when I got there the attendants Had me circling around looking for parking because they had a big event. I had to walk far with my luggage in heals due to the lack of convenient parking. They didn't even offer to take my luggage. The hotel was nice.. But the attendants needed some hospitality training. As I was leaving one attendant told me my car needed to Be smogged! (it was a rental ) i was there on business. Horrible experience after a long day of traveling! I'm typically pretty east going !

The room was nice, but I dont think the value was worth the room rates. No free Internet, they tried to downgrade us to another location and another room with out a view when we checked in. The food was over priced and the parking fee's were terrible. The one nice thing about the hotel was the gent on the evening shift watching the parking lot. He was great and always very friendly each time we went through the gate. Also when we checkout at 4:45 am and it took over 15 minutes to complete the process. There was a huge line because everyone it leaving on the early lflights and only two people were available to assist.

Stayed for a long weekend to help our daughter move into college dorm, etc. There are two seperate (1/4 mile) Hiltons on Harbor Island. We chose the bayfront location because it is smaller and (we hoped) quieter. Rate : tremendous. Harbor view (really nice) and you cannot hear the airport at all (which is weird). Room adequate. On site bar/restaurant not bad. Parking $* per day and very close proximity so convenient. Staff was okay until we asked for a room change because the first room had obviously been smoked in ... the accomodated one room change (same floor) but would not even entertain putting us on a higher floor because the were "fully engaged" (right). The way the hotel is constructed, there are three sides to the hotel, all are kind of concave and when you head out to your balcony you basically can see and hear everything that might be going on in the other rooms - the walls are thin and the hotel is on the noisey side - not unbearable, but annoying. IF you stay there - INSIST upon a top floor like 9-10-11 at least that puts you above the rancor down below. Not a terrible place to stay - just not "all that". Get a cheap rate and make them put you up high and it will be "okay".

I'm perplexed over comments regarding airport closeness - yes, a quick easy trip (to the displeasure of cab drivers) and I don't believe I saw or heard one plane out on the balcony, other than a jet fighter once. Most noise came from people enjoying the pool/Tiki bar, or the foghorns of big boats passing the marina. I stayed in the North Tower, as I'd heard this is the spot for a balcony with Marina view. Indeed. Lovely spot to sit, reflect, prepare for meetings. It's next door to the Convention Center, one small hill and the South Tower separating me from the SDCC. Across the trolley tracks is the Gaslamp Quarter, great for nightlife, dining, walking and shopping. There are some stores, including snacks and sundries right in the hotel. Also in the hotel, a few restaurants (never got to except room service, which was quick, friendly, and passable). North Tower rooms are older, the trade-off for choosing a balcony room. I'm told the N. Towers have more modern, tech-y amenities (like LCD TV's) and they are slightly closer to the convention center and gateway to Gaslamp. Beds were comfy, rooms had safes and decent coffee-makers. Charge for Internet, though. I heard complaints about parking (as usual during conventions) but San DIego is easy to get around by cab or public transportation. (I took a bus to the Zoo, an easy day trip.) One can dine on the water, at Roy's (actually, I did eat there - top shelf seafood - it's out on top of the pool and on the marina, 2 levels. There's also a park with little shoppes, cookies, fireworks, mimes, etc. For mostly-business, it was a fine place to be, no complaints- except thin wall to a connecting room. grrr But that view!

We traveled to San Diego to celebrate our wedding anniversary; we will return to San Diego but never will stay at this hotel again. The customer service was poor, the rooms were adequate but the bathrooms were small and not clean. The television had a continuous buzzing noise, and we often did not have hot water. The restaurants were low quality, and the large windows had broken seals, making it difficult to enjoy a marina view. When we expressed our discontent and asked to be released from the remainder of our reservation, we were refused. The view from our balcony was beautiful - but we will never stay here again.
