Overnight stay. Two rooms; one for me and one for daughter and 5-yr old grandson. Very nice stay, would recommend it. Pros: very comfortable bed, convenient location, good restaurant, nice cool pool and smaller hot pool with jets, continental breakfast. Desk clerk helpful, got us rooms next to each other. Property seemed very clean. Cons: three televisions per room (bed area, bathroom and office area) but largest was an old fuzzy tube type TV, maybe a 27", with a worn out remote. Not a big deal, just surprising for a hotel of this quality. A little noisy, (it IS next to the airport..)

Everything I could have wanted. Nice room. Clean, large, comfortable. Transportation to the airport. Park and fly. I was quite impressed and enjoyed my stay immensely. I plan to stay again next time I fly out of Portland.

worst hotel I've ever stayed at!

I booked 5 nights at the Shilo Inn Portland Airport based on the stars rating, Travel Website customer ratings and reviews, and the hotel/travel website pictures of the property. Problems included: 1) non-working refrigerator 2) the main phone not working (even after request, never fixed or replaced) 3) infestation of mosquitoes 4) dirty table 5) no room service menu & hotel directory with wrong # for room service 6) counters and table left dirty after housekeeping came 7) housekeeping not providing the same amount of towels in the room as they took out 8) website shows flatscreen TVs in rooms, ours was an old 25" that had a horrible picture 9) room service prices were like that of a Westin and food of a Denny's (actually not even as good as Denny's - we could not eat it) 10) had to physically MOVE the desk to get to the ironing board and iron that were built in the wall 11) received an important FedEx during stay - called front desk to see if it had arrived (9 hours after scheduled arrival time) and they said they hadn't seen it and would "look around for it". An hour later I walked down to the front desk and it was sitting on the floor behind the clerk I had spoken to. She apologized for being "too busy" to locate it for me. 12) website says that this location has been "newly updated" - I can safely say that the room I stayed in has not been updated since Miami Vice was on TV and provided the inspiration for the decor. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anybody!

My husband & I stayed at the Shilo the night before flying to Scotland. We ended up leaving our car at the hotel for over two weeks, with no charge. The hotel staff was very friendly and we were given a coupon for a free glass of wine each upon check-in. The complimentary breakfast from the hotel restaurant is the best one we have experienced from any hotel we have stayed at. We were so grateful for our spacious room after being up for over 24 hours from our return flight home. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE AND THE STAFF WERE VERY EASY TO WORK WITH.
