02/21/2010The location was the best thing about the hotel. so convenient to cable car, shopping, and union square. the staff were friendly, and the room was clean and adequate.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed during our trip. It is centrally located for sightseeing and offers valet parking (expensive). Our room was surprisingly small but was clean which was important for me.

Very good location for Bart and bus and right off Union Square. Good special price. Clean, good continental breakfast in a nice room. Big problem was it was very warm even though weather was cold. Radiator radiated heat even though turned off. Window opened to cement wall a couple of feet away. Could hear TV from somewhere if window left open.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We could not have asked for a better location!!! We were in the middle of all the shopping and entertainment. Two blocks down is the beginning of the trolly line and the mall (if you love shopping =) The room was small of course (only a bed and a desk, and a large flat screen!), but for what we paid, it felt like a steal! The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and everything was super clean. We were never cold, and the windows opened when we were hot. Our room faced the back of the building so there was no street noise! We never had breakfast, but we heard it's good =) (we are not morning people!). We saw several hotels we had considered but were too expensive as we were walking to our hotel. It made us think, why pay more for the same location? The rooms will be small anywhere...this is San Francisco! so in our opinion, if you are ok with just a bed, a shower, and an awesome flat screen tv, this is the hotel for you! We will definitely stay here next time.
