  I would return to this hotel.The hotel located in a rather cramped residential area was ok for a inner city setting. I felt safe during the evenings when going to the area stores for incidentals.The hotel ( free) parking lot, to the left of the front entrance door, has lighting and a camera security system, with enough places to serve the need of the hotel. The rapid transit is 5 blocks or approximately ½ mile from the hotel.Our room was small, very clean, it served our needs, because we traveled each day by car to spend the majority time in Manhattan area.The bathroom was very clean and up-to-date. The lighting could have been better, perhaps I should have brought a 23 inch fluorescent bulb.The price and cleanliness allows me to rate this hotel 4 stars of a possible 5.

  We stayed just one night, getting in really late and leaving early. The check in and check out were fine. The room was clean. It was low priced. Do not expect fancy. This is near the freeway and its a good deal for the airport night. I wouldn't feel safe walking around the neighborhood at night, not knowing it, but it is close to a subway station.

  I checked in on Saturday with no problem. The room was very clean a bit small but that's expected for New York. The neighborhhood a bit questionable but it was close to the train. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

  I stayed Feb 26-Mar 1st. Hotel is clean and staff friendly. The bath tub was a bit dirty but not real bad. The second floor is very noisy as that is where the maids closet is as well as the FREE continental breakfast every morning which was quite pleasant. The maids are noisy as well. Overall I would stay again albeit on a higher floor.
