  Would only stay again if I was assured it was under new management and the rooms had been redone. Hair and shampoo on walls of shower stall. Mold on ceiling and in grout and wall paper peeling in tub/shower room. Non-stick strips peeling from floor of tub. Toilet squealed when flushed. At only 5'2" had no trouble reaching the ceiling of the shower surround. Huge step to get into tub. Shower head loose. If adjusted, it started spraying water behind it. Air freshener plugged in over sink, but still didn't eliminate the stale smell of the room. Yes, there is wireless internet, but there are not enough electrical outlets to plug in your laptop. Limited channels available on the TV. Only 2 pillows per bed. Breakfast was very slim and not particularly good. Had white bread for toast, coffee, 2 types of cold cereal, milk, orange and apple juice, milk gravy with no seasoning or sausage, cold biscuits and (literally) two sweet rolls.

  The Super 8 is located 2 miles from downtown Metropolis. The pool and hot tub are indoor, but bring your own towels, because they don't offer any at the pool. The coffee maker and the toilet in our room were a bit touchy, but they worked. Rooms NEEDED more outlets, as we only found one we could use. All in all, it's a nice hotel and I'll be staying with them next year. Breakfast is small, but good & free. Safe parking. Pizza Hut and Huddle House/Quiznos are within walking distance. Friendly staff, clean rooms. I would stay again ;-)The decor is a bit outdated and we had some difficulty getting the toilet to flush, but all in all, the room was good. The pool is indoor, as is the hot tub. Bring your own towels, because they don't offer any at the pool. Air conditioner and iron worked great. Nice, well lite parking lot (free parking). The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. I would stay again. Highly recommend.

• STOPPED TO SEE SUPERMAN AND STAYED THE NIGHT.

  Hotel was very nice and pool area was exceptional. no towels available though. breakfast was standard carbohydrates; but nice. staff was friendly.
