we stayed here over Christmas '09 and it was one of the worst motel experiences of my life. Ours, actually. I don't need the fanciest things, but I expect a decent bed, comfortable temperature options, and no unnecessary noise in the middle of the night. One family members room had no heat while ours was overheated - in the middle of a blizzard I was desperate to find a way to open a window so I could cool the room down enough to sleep! In addition to the rowdy neighbors, there was actual CONSTRUCTION going on downstairs from 10pm to around 1am. Seriously? The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable, and I assumed that horrible greenish color that was on the walls HAD to be the former color but can see from the photos here that that was what they were going for. Painful, in a word, is what this stay was. My back was killing me for days after the stay from the awful bed and not being able to get a good night's sleep. Like I said, I hope they finished "fixing it up". Uh, I think they had a decent Continental Breakfast?

I stayed here one night during the Sturgis Rally week. Paid $* for this room when it probably is only worth $*, but it is what it is. The staff was friendly, they got me in my room an hour early. Plenty of places to eat; very busy area. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Donuts, cereal, juices, coffee, English muffins. Room was clean, but dated. Bathroom was marginally clean; old fixtures, lime scale, toilet was not properly cleaned, but not disgusting. If I'm in Rapid City again, I will look for another place to stay. I know I could do better.

Front Desk peeps were nice. Room was clean and had been 'refreshed'. Felt like I stepped into a bad episode of Miami Vice as the walls and bathroom were flamingo blue and the lamps were art deco. Kinda thought I was in FL instead of SD. Overall, fine accommodations.

Room clean. Felt safe. Breakfast area disorganized. Had to sit outside to eat, not many tables. Asked about attractions at front desk. Advised to skip certain one, to just drive by due to being too expensive. Glad I did not take that advise! Attraction was not as expensive as told by desk clerk and was MUCH more interesting thanother attraction! Wish I could have spent an entire day there!

Seemed like it was undergoing/recently underwent remodeling. Just stayed for a quick night, breakfast was average, front desk staff was courteous, hotel was clean. One concern was the parking lot-snow removal was poor, there weren't many parking spots to begin with, so it was a bit tight finding a spot when we arrived late at night.
