If you don't like dealing with arrogant desk clerks, don't go here! I was treated like some sort of lowlife because they had changed their pet policy two days before my arrival. (This was not reflected on the website) I specifically chose ""Pets Allowed"" hotels in my search, but they had decided not to allow pets any more. He finally relented and ""allowed"" me to bring my 15 pound dog in for a fee when I protested that the website said pets were okay. The room was okay but looked as though it was in the middles of being renovated. There was debris in the bathtub. The linens smelled used. Carpeting felt as though it was laid directly on the concrete without out any padding. Piles of shingles and old furniture were around the edges of the parking lot. The ceiling seemed very thin. I could hear every footstep of the people in the room above mine and they sounded echo-y. And they seemed to have a very restless night. The keycard was not required to enter from the parking lot - no security on people coming and going. Noisy, uncomfortable. Skimpy breakfast. There must be better choices in Rawlins and I will find them if I ever go that way again. The one thing it had going for it (if it is important to you) was a large flat screen TV on the wall. I was too tired to care. The hotel is easily visible from the highway, but streets are not well marked and there isn't an entrance off of the main street. Even my navigation system sounded frustrated by the time we found a way to the back road leading to the hotel.

I found it to meet our needs and in comparison to the other hotels in the area it was a good value as well. It was basic but clean, and the employees were very courteous and helpful. I should mention that there is also a good family restaurant, Cappy's, within walking distance.

Avoid this motel !!!!!!! We had many problems. Key didn"t work and the two clerks did not speak English, and took over a half hour to resolve. In other words -- no service. Urine smells on wet carpet in room.

Overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Key card didn't work. Waited 15 min+ for someone to return to front desk. Carpet was covered w/dirt, the sheets were wrinkled (had they been used?) and the bed was hard. Woke up 2x to housekeeping pounding on my door, despite the ""do not disturb"" sign. Never came back to clean the room. The 2nd day, my key again didn't work; again had to wait 15-20 minutes for someone to show up. I definitely won't be staying there again!
