I would not stay here again. Even though clean with a nice staff, this hotel was not worth the $* per night we paid. There was no coffee pot or mini-bar in the room. A pot of room service coffee cost $* for a "large" pot . Added to the $* base price was a $* delivery fee and gratuity. So for $* my husband and I each got two tiny cups of coffee that weren't even hot. Next time I'll look for a hotel that isn't so full of itself.

Gorgeous old building of its period. Received well at front door and front desk. Nice, clean, spacious room, quiet, lovely view. Bathroom really a throwback to the old days, now seems stylistically quite anachronistic and in need of an update, although it is functionally all one could want, clean, and in perfect working condition. Location atop Nob Hill is perfect for walking, grabbing the cable car, Union Square, restaurants, theatres (we hit Scala's Bistro and SF Playhouse, both excellent). Fortunately we found a room on the travel website for just over half the price on every other website inclluding the hotel's own!

I liked the Huntington hotel very much. This hotel is very clean, quite. People who are working there very friendly, polite with guests. We had every day a good service of our room. It was very clean in pool and spa areas. So I am very highly recommend it to everybody. If I will visit San Francisco, I will choose this hotel again.

First, the location is great. Nob Hill is downtown a few blocks from China Town and Union Square. The Hotel staff was very friendly, the room was nicely decorated and even had an alarm clock/radio with Ipod adapter which was nice. I would say the rooms are tastefully done with very nice beddings and the bathroom was huge for a downtown hotel. The rooms to me are conservatively decorated keeping with the overall historic look of the hotel but it is definately a modern and updated and immaculately clean. There is a bar downstairs that also continued the historic look of the hotel and was very nice, great martinis. I would say this is one of my new favorite hotels in SF because the location and the value of the nicest and cleanest most well appointed rooms I have stayed at for the price range.
The locations for me is key, I never rent a car when I go to SF. I take cable car/muni/bart/bus or taxi and the hotel is one block away from the Powel Street cable car lin and Another line runs right in front of the hotel. I saw parking right next to the hotel so if you have a car there is parking nearby but I don't recall the cost. All in all I say I enjoyed my stay and cannot give them enough stars.
Oh, there is a nice park across the street and it was a great place to people watch. Also the neighborhood seemed really nice and safe. As much hustle and bustle goes on in the city the park seemed kind of like I nice urban oasis away from the chaos of places like Union square.
I really cannot say enough nice things about this hotel.
