Service was good. Beach was nice. Sunset was awesome. Resort was old, somewhat dirty and in desperate need of rehab. Rooms were not that nice, stayed in a grande luxe beach view. Pools were very small. Food was pretty good, not great. Resort occupies a long, skinny section of the beach.

The Sandals Negril resort was very nice but there were a couple of things that would've made it better. The place was beautiful the service was really nice. The things I didn't like is that even though we had an all-inclusive package, there were a few amenities that still cost that I feel should have been included. For example, the massage packages were way over priced. The photo packages were way over priced. They even charged us for a camera in our room that we did not use. We had to go through a long difficult process with the manager and housekeeper to get the camera price taken off of our bill. There were only 4 restaurant choices and only 2 of them had good menu choices. We're glad we went. We had a great time, but we won't be back anytime soon.

We had a fantastic vacation! We were at Sandals Montego Bay for our Honeymoon 7 years ago and were fortunate enough to vacation at Sandal’s Negril this past week. From the food, to the room, to the staff everything was top notch! We especially wanted to send kudos to Mackey. He was on our boat for our snorkeling as well as our boat trip over to Rick's cafe. He goes above and beyond to ensure all of the guests are having a great time! Everywhere he went on the resort he was greeted by all the guests because they all loved his outgoing personality. We also wanted to thank Josh. He was our instructor for our Scuba certification. He was extremely knowledgeable and willing to accommodate our schedules. He was a greater teacher and made us feel very confident in our scuba diving abilities. Both of these gentlemen are an asset to the Sandals Resort. Finally, we can not begin to tell you how much we loved our room. We were fortunate enough to get a beach side room with a balcony. It was awesome! The view was a welcomed surprise! Thanks again to all the staff at Sandals Negril for making this vacation one to remember. We will definitely be back!

Just returned yesterday and will recap my thoughts on this resort experience for others benefit. First, let me say that I travel extensively and can compare this resort to others that I have stayed. Hope below helps you decide. Positives: > Good food at the available restaurants. Presentation and quality good. Atmosphere good. > The beach grill is open all night for great late night snacks/meals. > Friendly staff. > Didn't have a chance to snorkel this trip, but conversations with those who did enjoyed it. > Plenty of beach chairs available. However, you have to like the beach as opposed to the pool. More below. > Weather was great. Negatives: > The first you will encounter is the long, slow ride from the airport. Minimum a 1hr 20min ride. > Restaurants- sometimes a lenghty wait. > As mentioned above, pleny of beach chairs, but have love the beach. Unfortunately the beach is quite small and if you are a beach walker, not much fun. The ocean tides have washed a lot of beach away or maybe the tides are up. > If you like the pool (like me and my wife), be prepared to reserve chairs with conceirce or butler service (as many newlyweds do). The main pool deck and pool itself is not large, but there are 3 others on the property. Although all pools are smallish. > We had a beach front grand lux room. I've had larger rooms in Super 8's. I expect more when I spend this much and have in other places. Didn't get hand towels one day. Didn't get a new package of coffee in the room. No booze in room refrig. All small things but they added up. A fun trip, but a little disappointing.

Upon our arrival at the Sandals hub in the Jamaica airport we were notified that two of the three rooms within our party were overbooked and moved away from the rest of the family and away from the resort where the wedding was being held. As you could image this came to us as a huge shock and developed into a major frustration and inconvenience as we were all part of the wedding party. After spending three plus hours of dealing with the Jamaica airport (both of which represent the worst examples of customer service I have ever seen), the only thing that was clear was that mine and my sister’s Sandals reservations were not going to be upheld. In order to make the wedding rehearsal in time we all loaded up and headed for Sandals Negril. However, even she could not change the circumstances that our reservations were not going to be upheld. After the rehearsal and dinner, me, my fiance and my sister all went over to check into the other resort. During our check in we noted this was not an 18 and up couples resort and upon getting to our rooms we found that both rooms did not have the water turned on. We could not flush the toilet, wash our hands or take a shower until the next morning. The next day (also the day of the wedding) we had to make several trips between the resorts to make previously arranged appointments and prepare for the wedding, yet another inconvenience. In addition, after all the wedding day events and the end of the evening we could not walk back
