This is a perfectly nice, hip modern hotel, but for whatever reason, I found it to be a little underwhelming. Perhaps it has to do with the location, the surrounding area is a little grimy and it's hard to enjoy what should be a peaceful boutique in it's location. Next time I'll look for something in the Pearll District instead.

We stayed here for the Portland Marathon. ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean and beautiful. My dog thought she was in puppy heaven with all the attention she received. Wish the room had a coffee maker, but other than that it was wonderful

We recently spent one night at "The Nines" and loved it. Wish we had the chance to stay a few more nights to really enjoy the restaurant and atrium lounge. The staff was friendly, access to downtown was superb, the ambiance was great, and the room was fabulous. Great deal for the price we paid. Also, they accommodated our two dogs with pleasure. We were only given one doggie bed and set of bowls, though I believe we had asked for two. No matter, the dogs, and their owners, made do and had a grand time.

My husband and I just stayed at the Nines last week. It was our first trip to Portland. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and accommodating. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Some may find them on the small side, however, the size was perfect for the two of us. The bathrooms are very nice, especially for the ladies. There was a vanity style sink and counter with lighted make-up mirror and cushioned vanity bench. Towels a plenty, including bath sheets and robes. After a long day of sight-seeing, we chilled out at Urban Farmer, which is one of the hotels bar/restaurants. The food was amazing and the drinks are original and delicious (they make their own moonshine and whiskey). I loved this hotel because it was an escape at night from the sometimes grittiness of the downtown Portland streets. Would definitely stay again!!

THis hotel went beyond my expectations. Very friendly welcome staff at all levels. Work-out room was classy, stocked with water, head-sets for the tv's on the machines and very clean. Rooms were a bit small, but didn't matter, nice amenities and bathroom more then made up for the small living space. Restaurant, Urban Farmer has a fun happy hour! A variety of cheap eats, as well as their own Moonshine :-) Would suggest parking at the smart park one block east, only $17 for an overnight! Will stay here again!
