Although I stayed only one night, it was a delightful experience. Check in and checkout was done by ABC...very pleasant and efficient. Ordered room service and "XYZ" (I think) delivered the food. It was delivered quickly and the quality of the food was terrific. XYZ was very professional and personable. The room was spacious and clean and the room was quiet. The National Sales director assisted me with the reservation and she is the consummate professional and quite charming. Answered all of my pertinent questions. I would recommend the hotel to anyone that is visiting America's Finest City.

The hotel was charming, great location, well maintained, and gotten for a bargain as a "secret location". However, in our hotel search we selected for "continental breakfast" which there wasn't and feeding a family at the resort resturants added up quickly. Parking was an additional $*/day. Getting on their computor to check emails was also quite expensive; $* per 15 min. if I remember correctly. There were several pools and that was nice for the kids though we got scouls from some of the poolside guests because the kids were splashing too much water. Also plan to pay extra to use the fitness facility.

I grew up in San Diego, so I knew this hotel has been around for a long time. I was concerned about the age of the hotel because we stayed at a hotel on Shelter Island that was older and the room reflected that---worn out. But this hotel was fabulous! The room was very nice. I loved the sturdy and clean furniture. The bed was big and very comfortable. During the day, it was a bit loud as we were situated near the pool. Because of the Halloween weekend, there was quite a bit of partying going on and we can hear the loud partygoers. To our surprise, the noise didn't carry into the room in the night, so our sleep was undisturbed. Whew! Overall, it was quite a pleasant experience. The breakfast at one of the on-site restaurants was delicious! It was nice eating with the view of a pool. Great, clean, and well-maintained property. Close to the mall, stores, highway, and trolley. Highly recommend this hotel!

On the recommendation of my friend, my family and I stayed at this hotel and were given a room in the newly remodeled Royal Palm Towers. The room, which overlooks rose gardens and a pool, was beautiful as were the grounds of the hotel itself (lots of flowers). There happened to be a wedding party going on so we were also able to enjoy the music from the balcony of our room. Another plus is the hotel is within walking distance of the Fashion Valley Mall. The staff was very efficient and friendly upon check-in and check-out, making the stay a very pleasant experience. FYI: I, alone, stayed at this hotel in September 2009, also upon the recommendation of a freind, but did not know I could post a review. The first experience was just as wonderful even though I had a different room. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially is one likes flowers.
