Nice hotel; just far enough away from the hubbub that you have breathing room and feel local. Good restaurant choices within walking distance, as is river/bridge for exploring other bank. Surprise came when Sunday flea market was being set up across the street; we had to leave, but we could see from balcony and driving by that it was huge and we were sorry to have missed it. Shower in room looked like a space module and took a little sorting out, but was ultimately good. Although I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel, it's a solid, comfortable place and I'd definitely stay again.

and we decided to stay in a Boutique Hotel in an area not normally frequented by tourists. I am so glad we did. The staff spoke english and were extremely helpful. I had left my jacket in a taxi and by that evening the hotel had tracked down the driver who promptly returned it. The hotel itself is located in what used to be known as the "Jewish Ghetto." It is now a beautiful hotel with several lovely restaurants around. A chinese restaurant next door was a lovely departure on evenings when we absolutely could not look at Italian food. There is pizza across the street and the loveliest people own it. It is a beautiful walk to the circus maximas and just a bit further to the collaseum. The tomb of the unknow soldier can be seen from the roof as well as several apartments with citrus trees growing on the balconies. I cannot wait to come back and with certainly be staying in this lovely hotel.
