Now located in Galveston Bay, the former Aransas Queen Casino, which set out on her much anticipated maiden journey on May 12, 2015, relocated to 715 North Holiday Drive in Galveston on March 6, 2017 due to high winds and sea conditions and the resulting need for frequent repair. It was given its new name, Jacks or Better Casino, which is actually what it was named when it sailed out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and then Florida, prior to docking in Aransas Pass.

The 155-foot vessel sails from the Galveston Yacht Basin twice a day Wed. - Sat. and once on Sunday afternoons. Wednesday through Saturday the first departure is at 11am and returns at approximately 4:30pm, with the second and final cruise on those days departing at 6:30pm and returning at around midnight. The Sunday cruise leaves at 1pm and returns around 7pm. Tickets are $15 per person plus tax and can be purchased on the website.

The casino features a sportsbook, more than 180 slots, a variety of table games, and has separate smoking and non-smoking decks. Jacks or Better can accommodate up to 350 passengers but its average cruise is about 100, except for weekends.

Passengers can expect an a la carte menu to order from while they'e gaming. There are two bars, one on the travel deck and one on the 3rd level Lounge Deck.

Cancellations are taken over the phone. Cruises sell out fast so get your tickets now! You can print it at home or simply bring your confirmation number with you. The boarding office opens 90 minutes prior to departure and boarding begins 45 minutes prior. Doors close at 5 minutes before the hour. Full refunds are issued if cancellation is necessary due to inclement weather.

There is an ATM machine on board. Credit card cash advances and check cashing are available as well. Aransas Queen uses Global Cash Advance and there is a 5% service charge. There is a full buffet on board. I thought the delay to launch for the past 5 months was due to the addition of 400 more slot machines? But there are barely 200 on board. Is F your going to lie to your customers, make it a lie that makes you look stupid down the road.

I would just like to say that i was disappointed with my trip since dinner consisted of a sandwich instead of a full Buffett. And also there was no gaming cards issued out yet. The price of the trip was expensive compaired to the texas treasure which included off the food they avertised

She sailed for the first time at 11am today. The current calendar calls for morning OR evening cruises for the first week (11am and 7pm). Tickets can only be purchased online at this point and cost $25.05 each ($27 with taxes and fees). This afternoon the reservation site showed 11 tickets left for the Wednesday 5-12-15 am cruise. They were booking Thursday and Friday 7pm spots and 11am voyages Sat-Monday. We hope next week's calendar will show morning and evening cruises 7 days a week, but only time will tell at this point. Hi all, thanks for your questions. I'll do my best to answer them. By the looks of it, at this point the only way to buy tickets is online. When phoning we have always been sent to voice mail and have not had a phone call returned. No emails have been returned so these guys must be swamped with getting the venture underway. It looks like comps are, as always, discretionary, so I'd bring a little extra cash or credit just in case. If you good folks would be so kind as to register here as members you can help each other out with reviews of the boat, rate the dining, game selection etc. and we'll let the casino people know what you are saying about them. The more you participate the more likely they are to join the forum and keep everyone up to date, address concerns like those above, and maybe even offer contests, comps, or other free stuff here.

The public would like to know more information, such as hours of service, return times days etc. we are going by the news and that's short info. People from Sinton, Taft Odem, etc the sourrounging area want to be go but need more infor. Where do we get tickets. On line? Keep In mind some of the older generation don't own a computer. Can tickets be bought over the phone.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to share your experience! The Aransas Queen is a smaller ship so she'll be choppy when the water's rough. Sea sickness can hit even the most experienced wayfarer, so your advice is spot-on about taking your motion sickness pill an hour *before setting out.

The alcohol was free. I went yesterday. It was a choppy day at sea and about 60 percent of the passengers felL ill. I advise you take your drama dramananine 1 hr before boarding. many people didn't even gamble because they couldn't get around the boat. I personally did enjoy it and would return.

Hi, somehow your question slipped through the cracks, sorry about that! With taxes and fees it will cost about $27. The ship is sailing 7 days a week now. Some days are morning and evening, some just morning or evening. 11am and 7pm departures. Tickets are online only for now. Full schedule and reservations on the aransasqueen.com website. Bon Voyage!

Humm they are wanting you to gamble but yet going to charge a fee to travel out far enough to play Can't see driving 5/600 miles to play on ship if the fee for going out is very much . There are way to many casinos on land now that are closer to me and 1000's of others

Players on the Jacks or Better will find two gambling decks with slots, classic table games, and a virtual sports/race book.
